And finally came the day that we could say goodbye to Ankara, this because I managed to get a telephone call thou to Venezuela to speak to mister Peter Kerr the man who makes the Carnet, and best he remembered Roy and asked me to sent an E-mail, witch I did at the evening, and the next morning we took off for Cappadocia and later the Mediterranean.
It was a beautiful travel over the mountains, but very cold at the night. The road was very good and nearly all for our self. At Goereme we parked in the middle of town.
We took the shortest way to the coast, and here we are now near the beach and also near a center with Internet and a telephone, yesterday I spoke twice with Peter, and now the tone was less optimistic, I now have to wait for a e-mail from. It is really difficult to wait.

We are in Ankara and have been here nearly a week.
The problem is now how to go on with the BB.
We found the way to the Danish embassy, a very friendly man helped us to find the way letting his driver go ahead us to the address, which even had changed, and here in this suburb with all the embassies we found a good place to park
We found a new home I had to explain our situation to the many policemen here around and ok.
At the Danish embassy there was not much help to get, a little more at the Brazilian, and may be they will be the big salvation. We went to the Iranian embassy to get our visas, and here appeared a new problem me being Danish, for Dora ok but about me they have to ask permit ion in Teheran. I have to wait a week.
About driving with our BB in Iran I suddenly got an idea if the Brazilian man Roy could get a carnet in Venezuela why not me? It should be possible. I needed E-mail address and a telephone number of the touring club in Venzuela.Where to get that, at the touring club here, we went there and they helped us in contact with the Venezuelan embassy here, it showed up to be our neighbor and going there I got the dates. With them in hands we went to the Brazilian embassy for help. What is needed is a letter from the ambassador to the club and later a telephone and a fax it should be possible.
We got promise but only to morrow Tuesday he can receive us.
In the meantime we did tourisme. The day is very short and the temperature still low.
About Ankara we can tell that it is a very beautiful and modern town and here were we stay it is very up and down.

Turkey

10-11-2007
We left Greece and entered a new country for both of us: Turkey.
The boarder crossing was not so easy as in the others countries. It took some time for me to understand that my green card was no good for Turkey and then what to do. But ok it was only to bye a new one, and we entered. And very soon we noticed that it was Turkey, every where we noticed a minaret pointing at the heaven and a big or a small red flag with a warning moon and a star in white flapping on high poles.Allready on the first day the police stopped us to see passports.
The main purpose in Istanbul was to arrange for our entrance in Iran. What we have heard is that they wanted a deposit of money but how much? It should be something equal to the value of the BB, to I find out of that I decided to find a Mercedes –Benz office.
We came to Istanbul on a Sunday, go where? we role along the motor road and role and role, entered the kilometer long queue for crossing the Bosporus bridge and finally stopped up at a rest place where some people helped me with an address to a MB office.
Next morning I took a taxi who took me to MB here they helped me with the address of the Iran consulate and there own head office in Istanbul Europe, still very difficult to find out the price of the BB.Leaving the MB it started to rain and because of the difficulty with language the taxi chauffeur could not bring me back to the parking place finally he managed.
Back in Istanbul we had luck to find a good parking lot very near to the center.
We found the Iran consulate they gave me a internet site on a small piece of paper. And that was all.I must find some type of a lawyer to help me thru all this.In a tourist bureau I asked if such a professional was to find in Istanbul, and friendly man told that the best thing was to go to Ankara where

We came to Thessaloniki in poring rain but found a auto park to overnight, and the next day we did the town seeing what we could from the BB and at lunchtime we found a good beach, and the best was to find an Internet point not far away, where I managed to mail the post and send two E mails all using the pen all very fast.
To get out of the town was a bit of a job, but finally at the motor road it did fast to come at the road to Athos.
We slept at the roadside and the next day we took a sightseeing boat along the chore to see the monasteries really impressive, but unfortunately the weather was cloudy so the photos I took did not come well out.
On the way back Dora noticed a water spring at the roadside so we stopped up, our clothes needed a wash.
And now it is autumn the days are shorts and the temperature is low.
