We left Greece and entered a new country for both of us: Turkey.
The boarder crossing was not so easy as in the others countries. It took some time for me to understand that my green card was no good for Turkey and then what to do. But ok it was only to bye a new one, and we entered. And very soon we noticed that it was Turkey, every where we noticed a minaret pointing at the heaven and a big or a small red flag with a warning moon and a star in white flapping on high poles.Allready on the first day the police stopped us to see passports.
The main purpose in Istanbul was to arrange for our entrance in Iran. What we have heard is that they wanted a deposit of money but how much? It should be something equal to the value of the BB, to I find out of that I decided to find a Mercedes –Benz office.
We came to Istanbul on a Sunday, go where? we role along the motor road and role and role, entered the kilometer long queue for crossing the Bosporus bridge and finally stopped up at a rest place where some people helped me with an address to a MB office.
Next morning I took a taxi who took me to MB here they helped me with the address of the Iran consulate and there own head office in Istanbul Europe, still very difficult to find out the price of the BB.Leaving the MB it started to rain and because of the difficulty with language the taxi chauffeur could not bring me back to the parking place finally he managed.
Back in Istanbul we had luck to find a good parking lot very near to the center.
We found the Iran consulate they gave me a internet site on a small piece of paper. And that was all.I must find some type of a lawyer to help me thru all this.In a tourist bureau I asked if such a professional was to find in Istanbul, and friendly man told that the best thing was to go to Ankara where
