Roma

After a good Weekend at the Roma Lido, we took of for the Rome airport to find out about a Egyptian tourist bureau, it seems to be right in the center. And we had luck un the way in where we happen to find a street full of several old trailers about a six parked along, and one of the inhabitants told us that it was ok to stop up here for the night and that we could take the underground to the center, and so we did, and we found the Egyptian office, but too late for that day, but we had a home in Rome. Yesterday we came in time, but the reception was not what I hoped , but what I feared: To com to Egypt by land was possible but stay in the country without the dammed carnet only possible with a deposit of 80% of the cars value as new, and worst the road to Sudan was closed. The fellow only smiled when he saw me all down, he won he’s day and I lost my.

We did what ells we have to do in Rome, took a bus ride around and went home very tired. But found out that our suburb was very good for internet a good point just round the corner.
And here I sit early in the morning preparing this posting.

Italy - Pisa

And we went there as two of the hundreds of tourists streaming to Pisa every day to look for our self if the tower is really leaning, and it is. Very few constructers get famous making such a foundation error and later on help there fellowmen to earn there daily bread.
We did the visit shortly and took the road for Rome.

It should show up that our two Chinese fabricated frontiers showed some defects so we had to change them; this was done in a town called Montalti de Castro, even that there was an internet point this was closed, so only in the town Ladispoli we found another point.

So traveling slowly we came near to Rome on Saturday, where we found a good place at a beach called Lido di Carabinieri and here we will pass the Weekend sunbathing at the beach.

Goodbye to San Marino next visit San Leo and then Firenze. The weather is now very good, yes just what we expected here in Italy. The landscape we are rolling through is really very beautiful.
In Firenze we managed to find a good parking near the stadium, from where we took a bus to the center. After a lot of walking it is always nice to com home to the waiting BB.
This morning we left Firenze direction Pisa it is Sunday to day so we stopped early on parking lot at the entrance to the town Lucca.

Well we left the beach for driving inland, very short to San Marino. I got a crazy idea to get the document: carnet de passage em douane in the automobile club there, with that we spended a whole day, well this gave us an idea about this little country, what we saw was interesting because the mountains in which it was build, and we were happy to find a good place for over nighting, as always parking is a problem but it is resolved for to day.
To morrow the plan is to take a bus up to the center of the old town, where there is no parking for the BB ok See you to morrow.
And we did so. The fortress at San Marino is it, to visit it, wakes up the boy in every man. It is a little more than 50 years when I road the way up here on my DKW motorbike. At that time the tourist flow was less and especially the horde of campers did not exist. All this years I remembered the climbing up in one of the towers, and to day I asked a young man to take a photo of me climbing up the vertical ladder the same I did that time.

We left Salzburg Monday morning destination Italy and choose the easiest way the motor way pointed directly on Venice, and it was easy passing two fantastic tunnels one more than 6km and the other more than 5km long, coming through them we left the motor way to feel the alps more, and it was worthwhile. We happened to stop up for the night near a beautiful lake.
The next morning we woke up with a temperature of 5 degrees.
Coming out in the flat land we had to drive in a heavy traffic all the way, even to find a place for the night was not easy, after driving along on small roads we found a place in front of a church. And the next morning: Venice, and we did what a couple of tourists shall do. Afterwards it coasted some effort to find the right way out of the town.
The plan was to drive to the coast for a swim and we happened to find a parking lot near Rimini flooded with campers, and we had to pay but ok .Here we will stay the weekend over.
The weather is fine it is a very long beach full of old people like our self walking up and down and sunbathing ,and so do we too.
