We left Uddevalla after a good lunch and entered a big supermarket, coming out from there the rain pored down, it was late so we resolved to stay over for the night, and really the next morning the sun shined and we took of for Norway and before midday we came till Frederiksstad. My mother was born in this town, but went till Denmark in 1926, married and I was born in 1932. When the war ended my parents and I visited my grandmother and my mother s sister Margit ,this was the second time I went there, the first time was before the war to my grandfather s funeral , a second time I spend a holyday there together with my school friend Ejvind, yes the same we visited in Frederikshavn.
After living in Brasil I visited my aunt Margit twice, the last in 1965 (I think).
She as a widower made a testament in favor of The Blue Cross and my mother, and here 11 years after, I am here to remember something from the old days, and that was not so easy as I thought. I had to ask my way, and even it was not easy, the house was not there at all. The Blue Cross had sold the property to a construction firm, and now we found a lot of very nice houses on the land.
Upper sit the property the cemetery has grown bigger and more beautiful; we passed a night in it s parking lot, and this morning I found my families gravestone and arranged a meeting with the advocate ,who arranged with the testament.
Yesterday we moved to a place very near to the center and the river Glommen ready to pay a visit to the advocate Per Sunerud. The whether was nice even hot we took a walk along the river and took some photos, during the night it started to rain again.
I visited Mr. Per had a little chat with him; he confirmed that I was the first heir coming to him after passing 10 years.
I still have difficulty to get on the Nett, the wireless adaptor I have does not work, and an internet bar does not exist here in Frederikstad, indeed this town is a very dead place.
