What a story to tell!
After the party at the summerhouse Tage and his wife walked us to our motorhome, where we went to sleep. At half past four in the morning I waked up hearing voices, and sound of somebody touching the car,I pulled out of the bed and run to the door and thou the window I looked in the face of a girl about 13 years old, she hammered with here two fists twice wanting to brake the glass, seeing me she ran away very fast. I went out and noticed that the number plate fixed on the bake of the car was bend. I managed to bend it back again and went back; it started to rain, and continued so the whole next day.
Tage and his wife passed by to see us and we told what had happened during the night.
Next day the weather got better and we took of for the north of the island, we stopped for lunch in the town Frederikssund and here I noticed that the number plate on the front was missing, In our case this was really a problem, to go back and look for it and find it could give a negative result, there were two persons that morning and they may have wanted the plate as a trophy. So I started to think of an other solution: to make a copy of the one I have.
It was Friday everything closes early in Demark. We stopped up for the night near Noedebo.
During the night I thought better get in contact with Tage, who knows he could go there and take a look around?
In the morning we went to the Noedebo Kro for a telephone and a nice lady rented me one, but nobody answered, I called Arne his brother, and had more luck, told him the story, and we took off for the beech of Lisseleje,were we stayed one night in a very heavy storm.
In the local tourist information office they gave me an old telefonebook to help me finding what needs for the new plate.I discovered a place in a nearby town Helsinge where people could throw there old stuff away, hoping to find an iron plate to paint on, we found one,
I asked the caretaker to help me to a phone call giving her the number , she attended me at once, nobody attended. Thanking here I went off when she came running after me, Tage manage to return the call. And what news he had to give us? They have found the number plate in the grass nearby the place we stopped. And Tage told that they was on there way back to Copenhagen the next day, and that they could meet us at Hilleroed, fantastic.
